Angela Leavey, R.Ac., Acupuncture and Tui Na Massage
My journey to Acupuncture has led me along many paths. I resigned my corporate position in 2001 and began training in massage and botanical medicine. I studied Organic Chemistry with an interest in the medical use of essential oils. After completing my designation in Toronto as a Certified Health Practitioner, I immersed myself in further education focusing on mental health and woman’s care.
In 2005, I was invited to participate in a project that changed the trajectory of my career. After a devastating tsunami struck Indonesia, I worked with a team of 20 volunteers in Sri Lanka to help support and re-build an area that had been damaged. The memories of witnessing humans who had virtually lost families, livelihoods and the very few material possessions in their lives, made me look at life from a different lens. What was most evident was the lack of counselling or community programs that offered emotional support for PTSD, anxiety and depression.
In 2010 I began my training at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria and completed my three year program, and am now registered with the B.C. licensing board. I have extended and enhanced my education with workshops on addiction and mental health and am a certified NADA practitioner.

Sherri Inouye, RCC
I have been an RCC with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors since 2012 and am registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program. I offer individual counselling services and use a holistic, person-centred and integrative approach that blends talk therapy with body-centred modalities. I work from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens and draw mainly from EMDR, Ego State Therapy, Focusing-Oriented Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness practices (see my website if you would like to learn more about these approaches). In addition to private practice my background includes working in community mental health, community counselling clinics, crisis centres, educational settings and 10 years as a trauma counsellor, group facilitator and yoga teacher with a feminist anti-violence organization. I wholeheartedly believe we all have the capacity for healing, growth and change. I bring my experience, training and presence to sessions with deep respect and curiosity for your intuition and knowledge about what you need. My therapeutic interest and experience has primarily been with women. However, if you believe working with me could benefit you please contact me to book a consultation. I welcome individuals from all cultures, abilities, races, religions, sexual orientations and gender identities. This is a free, casual and confidential conversation to discuss how I may best support you.

Alyssa Madill, RMT, Registered Massage Therapy
I have been practicing bodywork since 2010 and became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2014 after graduating from WCCMT Victoria. My practice is neurodivergent-friendly, trauma-informed, and grounded in a holistic approach to care. I am passionate about creating a supportive and attuned space where people from all walks of life can move, heal, and feel more at ease in both work and play.
My approach is informed by polyvagal theory, as well as a background in holistic nutrition, recreational sports, integration work, and Level I Reiki. I strive to support each client’s well-being with presence, curiosity, and care for the interconnectedness of body, mind, and nervous system.
Outside of practice, I enjoy dancing, exploring the coast, and preparing nourishing meals.
